Fine & Rare Chinese Eastern Zhou Dynasty Pottery Bowl
This fine and very rare pottery bowl was made around 2,500 years ago during the Eastern Zhou Dynasty
(770 - 221BC) during either the "Spring & Autumn" period (770 - 475BC) but more likely during the
"Warring States" period (475 - 221 BC). It is made from a sandy grey pottery that has been quite
highly-fired. The outer wall has been decorated with horizontal bands that surround the body and
diagonal repeated cord impressions. The concave base is sculpted with a more coarse pattern.
